On our way back, we stopped at Sydney and at Beijing. We took advantage of the situation to visit the two cities.

First, we stopped in the city of Lugainville, we slept in the house of a french man and a vanuatu woman who are married. As they have a big house and special rooms, they often welcom tourists and also medical students. Then, we went to an other place named port orly. It is a much more little village. We went to Tana, a volcanic island where volcanic explosions can be admired. We went to the place where where James Cook first arrived and discovered these Islands.

The last island we went to was Malekula, our guide's island. We rested on the beach, tasted some food specialities, saw local dances and discovered local people.

The trip to vanuatu lasted about 28 hours, only including the flights time. We had two stops, One at the airport of Beijing and the other one at the airport of Sydney. Vanuatu is a archipelago made of 83 islands of different shapes. Personally, I have visited only five of them : Etafé, Espiritu Santo, Embrym, Tana and Malekula.

Embrym is an other volcanic island but more inaccessible. To see the lava's lake, you must walk at least one day to go and one day to return. Embrym's airport is very small and the runway landing is only made of grass. Witch is very cool because if you're tired, you can take a little nap on it...
