DAY 3

I woke up with the wound of “Bharati – Bole Chudiyan” (nice Indian song) coming out of my Iphone. Charles tried hard to wake up, as he couldn’t sleep early because of the dog’s noise… So once again, we packed all our stuff, we wore our suits, and also our sneakers, as the rain was falling in the mud outside. You have to check out these

Once again, we took a minibus taxi to reach our workplace. It cost us 2 Birr (around 20 USD cents). At noon, we went to the train station , firstly to get some information about how to go to Djibouti (20°C more and a dryyyy weather). On Saturday afternoon we were up to discover a few things more about Addis. So we planned to meet with Dawit (you remember? The guy who kindly put us up our third night in Addis!) and visit a few places. We first went to the Ethiopian National Museum , which was a nice visit (see the few pics). We also saw lions in a zoo . It was raining for real o

DAY 1

We arrived in Addis-Ababa in the early morning. After putting many efforts into falling asleep, we had finally let it go. Every hour we got woke up by one person of the plane crew! We had indeed several meals, our entire trip long. But who expect to eat fruits’ salad at 2am in cloud nine? Anyway, Charles and I managed to sleep for a few minutes b

DAY 2

Oh, I forgot to tell you something! Yesterday evening, while I was preparing my clothes for the day after, I just realized I forgot something really important, especially for your 1st day of work…: some shoes! I can’t tell you how stupid I was feeling. I finally decided (it was the best solution) to wear my leather sandals; if you don’t look

Charles and I are really good friends. We met in ESSEC Business School (Paris, France) in September 08, as we both were freshmen in the MBA program. We had to do a 6-months internship to complete our 1st year in ESSEC. And after a whole year only made of introductory courses (marketing, accounting, statistics, economics, and so on), we had basicall

DAYS 13 TO 23: Mercato in Addis, and DJIBOUTI.

M ercato is said to be “the largest market in Africa” (information confirmed by International travel Maps)! Ethiopian people already warned us before going there, as many pickpockets were said to roam the streets of this huge and colorful open market. So we went there with Dawit, our inseparable friend, on Saturday. Mercato’s shops usually cl
